In this talk Brigit will introduce the audience to the fascinating and often hidden world of bees. She will explain the differences between honeybees, bumblebees and solitary bees – and talk about their relationships with flowering plants. She will also speak about theimportance of pollinator diversity.

 

Brigit Strawbridge imageBrigit is an amateur naturalist, wildlife gardener and bee enthusiast who writes, speaks and campaigns to raise awareness of the importance of our native wild bees and the reasons for their decline. She is especially interested in the roles different species play in pollinating different flowering plants.
