  • TALK : Meadow in my garden. Meadow in my Garden is a community interest company based in Freshford, supporting gardening for wildlife in all kinds of outdoor spaces. Their aim is to make gardening accessible and inclusive and to create flourishing environments for people and pollinators.   • FILM : My Garden of a Thousand Bees An extra-ordinary film, made by acclaimed wildlife filmmaker Martin Dohrn during coronavirus lockdown, chronicling bees that range from Britain’s largest bumblebees to scissor bees, which are the size of a mosquito, using a one-of-a-kind lenses he had forged on Martin’s kitchen table. Eventually, he got so close to the bees, he could identify individuals just by looking at them.   • IT’S A BLOOMING QUIZ !: Teams of four. Booking is required as there is limited space – book your table with . Friday 26th April 7:30pm Village Hall Free to members. £2.50 for non-members
  • THE PLANT SALE :  Bring your surplus seedlings, and/or spare perennials and shrubs. Teas, coffee and cakes. Saturday 11th May 2pm-3.30pm – Village Hall Free to members. £5 for non-members

  •  GARDEN PARTY :  planned for June ! Members free, their guests £7.00
  • WORKSHOP : Learn how to make sauerkraut and preserved lemons. Introduction on fermenting, and tasting, before a hands-on session. Booking required, and we’ll let you know what equipment you need to bring. You’ll leave with a jar of sauerkraut and preserved lemons.   • THE VILLAGE SHOW : Saturday 7th September 12 noon – 4:30pm (incorporating the Flower Show) on Wellow Playing Fields.
  • APPLE DAYS Saturday 19th October – community picking apples. Sunday 20th October – juicing apples 2pm to 4pm. Village Hall car park. If you have loads of apples to juice, please come from midday. Contact Hugh at for more information.
