Every year the village of Wellow holds a Village Show on the sports field adjacent to the Village Hall, in the centre of the village. The main feature is the Flower Show, in the large marquee that contains all the exhibits of flowers, fruit, vegetables, art, crafts, cookery etc.

Everyone is encouraged to enter, whether or not a member of the Wellow and District Horticultural Society. Help and tips for growing and nurturing your plants are available on this website and at our events through the year. Judging takes place in the morning and competition is fierce!

There are also a large number of stalls selling a wide variety of products and demonstrations of rural skills. Every year a variety of different entertainments for all age groups are put on.

Many refreshments are available from the beer tent, ice cream, BBQ, and the excellent teas and homemade cakes served in the village hall. Other village groups also put on entertainments such as boules competitions and tennis events.
