The Society was set up to encourage all things gardening in Wellow and surrounding villages. We run events throughout the year in pursuit of this aim, with assistance from our well-qualified and skilled community members. \u00a0One particular aim is to encourage our children and young people to take up gardening. We are therefore delighted to support St Julian’s School in their newly established gardening club.<\/p>\n

As the climate and biodiversity crisis deepens and affects all of us in one way or another, travelling less ourselves and \u00a0buying local produce \u00a0becomes more and more pressing. Reducing our carbon footprints is the number one priority, but alongside that, we have to learn how to plant effectively for more extreme conditions.<\/p>\n

“Growing our own” takes on a whole new meaning, in this context. So let’s do it!<\/p>\n
